“There’s No Freaking Way I’ll be Your Lover! Unless…” is a Japanese light novel series by Teren Mikami and Eku Takeshima. It follows Amaori Renako, who after a lonely middle school experience, aims to become popular in high school. She meets Oduka Mai, a glamorous model, and their initial connection leads to Mai confessing her romantic feelings. Renako, however, wants to maintain a platonic friendship, leading to a comedic conflict as Mai tries to prove they are destined to be lovers.
