“Darling in the Franxx” is an anime set in a dystopian future where humanity lives in mobile cities called Plantations, fighting against giant creatures called Klaxosaurs using giant robot mecha called Franxx, piloted by children artificially created for this purpose; the story primarily focuses on the relationship between Hiro, a struggling pilot, and Zero Two, a powerful hybrid human-Klaxosaur pilot known as the “Partner Killer” who seeks to become fully human, as they partner up to fight against the Klaxosaurs and explore their complex bond.
